Privacy policy
Last updated: 31 October 2026
Select Fencing Sunbury runs this website and the quote form on it. When this policy says "we", "us" or "our", it means Select Fencing Sunbury.
This page explains what we collect when you ask for a quote and why. It also says who else gets to see your details and how to contact us about them.
What the quote form collects
When you send the quote form, we receive:
- your name
- your phone number
- your email address, if you choose to give one
- the suburb or town where the job is
- the fence types you tick
- a rough length in metres, if you add one
- any notes you write
- the page of the site you sent the form from
The form doesn't ask for payment or bank details, so please don't put them in the notes.
What is recorded automatically
When the form is sent, our website host records technical details such as the time and your IP address. An IP address is the number that identifies your internet connection. These records keep the site running and help us block spam.
The form also notes how quickly it was filled in and whether a hidden box was filled in. Spam programs tend to rush the form and fill every box, so these two checks help us spot them.
Why we collect it
- to phone you about the job and answer your questions
- to arrange a site measure when the job needs one
- to prepare and send your written quote
- to book the work if you accept the quote
- to keep spam out of our inbox
We don't sell your details or put you on any mailing list.
Who else sees your details
We share what you send only with the people and services that need it to get your quote done:
- the installers who measure, quote and carry out the work
- Mailgun, the service that emails each quote request to us
- Neon, the database service that stores each request so none go missing
- Vercel, the company that hosts this website
- Google, through Google Analytics, as explained under Cookies and analytics
- anyone we are required by law to share it with
Some of these services may store data on servers outside Australia, such as in the United States.
Your quote request goes to this installation business:

Cookies and analytics
Google Analytics shows us how people find and use the site, for example which pages they read and whether they tap the phone number. It sets cookies, which are small files your browser keeps, and it doesn't tell us your name.
Your browser settings let you block or clear cookies, or you can install Google's opt-out add-on.
The form sometimes asks you to tap a matching picture. When it does, the site sets one small cookie that remembers the last picture, so your next check is a different one. It expires after 30 days.
How long we keep it
We keep a quote request while we need it to quote, carry out and follow up the job. We also keep it for proper business records, and after that we delete it.
Keeping it secure
The form sends your details over an encrypted connection, the padlock you see in your browser's address bar, called HTTPS. They are stored with services that need a login to reach them, and only the people handling your quote have access.
No website can promise perfect security, which is another reason to leave passwords and bank details out of the form.
Seeing or correcting your details
Ask us and we'll tell you what details we keep on you. We'll fix anything that's wrong or delete them if you want, and we'll answer within 30 days.
- Phone: (03) 9123 6479
- Email: info@selectfencingsunbury.com.au
- Or send a message with the form on our contact page.
Making a complaint
Not happy with the way we've handled your details? Tell us first and we'll reply within 30 days.
If that doesn't settle it, you can take a complaint to the OAIC, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. It's the government body that looks after privacy.
Changes to this policy
We might change this policy now and then. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
